About the Role
As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will be an integral part of a highly skilled team delivering compassionate, evidence‑based care in one of Western Australia’s busiest emergency services. You will assess, prioritise, and manage a diverse case mix, utilising strong clinical judgement and teamwork to deliver timely and effective patient care. The Emergency Department operates 24/7 and provides care to a broad range of presentations across adult, paediatric, mental health observation and resuscitation areas, with dedicated support from multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high‑quality emergency nursing care across a diverse patient cohort
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, formulate care plans, and implement interventions
- Utilise clinical expertise to monitor and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary colleagues
- Document clinical care accurately and uphold professional standards
- Prioritise and organise workload in a fast‑paced emergency setting
- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive ED culture
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years’ Emergency Department experience essential
- Demonstrated emergency nursing skills and ability to work autonomously
- Effective communicator with strong clinical reasoning and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to continuous professional development and quality care
- Experience across adult and paediatric emergency presentations is desirable
